Numbers MatterOnce you have locked in the numbers for your event you can now start the journey of fitting out the event with the correct projector and screen hire. For events up to 100 people you could consider using a pull up tripod projector screen. They are easy to use and assemble, come in 16:9 widescreen and 4:3 aspect ratios and generally have adjustable legs so the venues ceiling height is not such an issue.
However if you are looking at more than 100 people of simply want more of a wow experience for you event you would need to go to a Fast Fold Projector Screen. The downside to Fast Fold Projector Screens is that they will need a technician to setup and install correctly and you will need to consider venue size before hiring as they do come in large sizes and venue ceiling heights may be restrictive. |
Aspect Ratio
Aspect ratio is the ratio of width to height of your screen. Most common at the moment is 16:9 but you will sometimes see 4:3.
Like we said 16:9 is very common now so if you can't find out which aspect ratio you need go for this as 4:3 content can be adjusted to fit to a 16:9 Projector screen but going the other way is a nightmare.

Which Projector should i hire? One scenario we see a lot if clients already have a projector but want to hire a projector screen or a venue has one installed but does't provide a projector screen for hire. However not all projectors and projector screens are perfect matches. Put simply the larger your projector screen the brighter or the more lumens your projector needs to have. Also the bigger the screen generally the further away the projector needs to be to fill the screen so again you will need more brightness or lumens from your projector.
Screen Width 1.8m Lumen Rating 3000 Screen Width 3.0m Lumen Rating 5000 Screen Width 5.0m Lumen Rating 6000 These are general practices but other things like how bright the area is will change how effective your projector is. Also using a brighter projector on smaller screens will improve your sharpness and give you a better image quality. Using small lumen ratings on larger screens will work but you sacrifice image quality dramatically depending on your events lighting and conditions. |
